Priscilla Shirer Honours Dad On #BlackHistoryMonth: American female evangelist, Priscilla Shirer, has honored her father, Dr. Tony Evans, in commemoration of black history month. She celebrated her father for being the first black theologian and scholar in history to write a complete and comprehensive theological commentary on the entire canon of Scripture. Writing on her Instagram, she recounted the segregation and discrimination he passed through while growing up.
Shirer had the honour at the recent launch of Dr. Tony Evans’ latest work “The Tony Evans Bible Commentary”.
“During this month, I salute my Daddy again for being the FIRST black theologian and scholar IN HISTORY to write a complete and comprehensive theological commentary on the entire canon of Scripture. 🙏🏽 We watched our father pour over the Scriptures for decades to make sure that every pericope and paragraph in all 66 books of the Old and New Testaments were covered with accuracy and precision.” Priscilla wrote.
She further described her father as her history and hero while thanking him for his efforts and for pioneering excellence
