In this message, he says that the gospel reveals something about John. John was born of the house of Aaron which is the house of priesthood. Priesthood were the ones who dealt with the lamb. The priest is the one who identified the lamb. Remember the day he saw Yeshua and he said ‘behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world’. As soon as he saw him, he identified him not just as a lamb but as the lamb of God.
He called our attention to how the lamb seems to often manifest at the beginning of something. Genesis, the beginning the Jewish people seals it right there. Exodus, the beginning of the of the redemption from Egypt and now it’s the beginning of John, the beginning of the ministry of messiah and it starts with behold the lamb of God.
