The Littleton Campus of Red Rocks Church opened during the Easter weekend of 2012, and it was previously a run-down dinner theater, in true Red Rocks style.

Red Rocks began holding services at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility alongside the prison ministry God Behind Bars, following the same multi-site format.

The Arvada Campus opened in September 2015 to packed crowds. A second God Behind Bars facility opened outside of Colorado Springs in the Colorado Territorial Correctional Facility for men not long after.

The Evergreen Campus of Red Rocks Church began meeting in the Evergreen High School auditorium in June 2016. Red Rocks Church opened its first foreign site in Brussels, Belgium, just four months later.

Red Rocks Church opened a brand-new site in Austin, Texas, in August of 2018.

The Park Meadows campus reopened in November 2019 after extensive renovations, and hundreds of individuals (many of whom had previously worked at other Red Rocks campuses) instantly made it their home!

Red Rocks Church Beliefs

According to the Red Rock Church, the Bible makes clear certain truths are essential convictions of the Christian faith. Red Rocks Church considers these to be:

About God

They believe that both seen and unseen, God is the loving Creator of all that exists. All things being equal, God is good and omnipotent. God exists as the Trinity, in three distinct persons, yet one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

About Jesus Christ

Second, God expressed himself in human form through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ is fully man and fully God. He is the perfect reflection of God’s character and glory. Born of the Virgin Mary, he lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the only perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. All who believe in him are declared righteous because of his death. He rose physically from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return to earth to reign forever with those who are his.

About The Holy Spirit

Third, the Holy Spirit, sent from God to live inside all who believe in Jesus Christ, teaches, comforts, and empowers us, giving each follower diverse gifts, fostering unity, interdependence, productivity, Christ-like character, and love among Christians. The believer receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of salvation. The empowering of the Holy Spirit, the promise of the Father, is available for every Christian.

About the Bible

Fourth, is the belief that God speaks to us in the Bible, which is complete without error. It is our privilege to understand God’s message and apply it responsibly to our lives. The Bible is our standard and authority in all we say and do. They believe God inspired the authors of the Bible and they are therefore completely trustworthy. The Bible is the ultimate authority on all matters to which it speaks. We believe that God’s unchangeable Biblical message ought to be presented in relevant and contemporary ways, free of religious jargon, so it’s understandable to the people.

About Salvation

Last is that Salvation comes to people because of God’s grace through faith in Jesus alone, not by any works we could do ourselves. We receive the gift of forgiveness and are spiritually reborn through repenting of our sin and believing in Jesus Christ. Good works and holy life, although totally unable to save us, become the natural product of repentant, believing people.
