Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts has talked about being pregnant with her son Malachi Jakes when she was 13 Years old. The daughter of Bishop T.D Jakes and Serita Jakes never allowed the early pregnancy to ruin her life. Currently she is a pastor of ONE (A Potters House Church) and she is married to the senior pastor, Toure Roberts. Sarah also bought a house worth 4 million dollars in Calabasas, California, United States.
Revealing what she passed through while pregnant with her son Malachi while she was 13 years of age, Sarah Jakes Roberts wrote on Instagram:
“From the moment I learned I’d be his mom, at 13 years old, I tried to stop focusing on myself and build a life for him. I wanted to prove maturity and stability as quickly as possible. It felt like the right thing to do. I was wrong.
Because I chose not to focus on myself, I lost myself. My trauma was left trapped in my soul. It was begging for acknowledgment, nurturing, and recovery. It isn’t easy to raise another human if you aren’t aware of where you’re underdeveloped. If you don’t own your pain, you’ll transfer it to your children.
I did the best I could with my son. When I stopped focusing on making a life for him, and instead chose to heal in front of him, everything changed.
