In the spirit of Mother’s Day celebration, the American evangelist and best-selling author has shared on Instagram, a recalled memory of her refusing to follow doctors instructions of terminating her three months pregnancy. This was on the ground that the fetus is incapable of living.

“Three months into my pregnancy I was told that my son was “incompatible with life.” My doctor recommended terminating my pregnancy. I told her that was not an option for me so every couple of weeks I had to return to the hospital for fetal monitoring,” she wrote.

Her Test Result Was Exchanged

Sheila further disclosed that she was told later in her pregnancy that her test result was exchanged with that of another. “When I was about thirty-five weeks pregnant she called and told me that when my blood work came back it was put into another woman’s file and hers into mine.” “There had never been anything wrong with my son,” she added.

Walsh noted that she prays every Mother’s Day for women who are passing through situations similar to hers.

“I realized that there was another woman somewhere getting very different news. So every Mother’s Day I pause and pray for that woman. I don’t know who she is but God does,” she wrote.

Walsh added she prays “for comfort and peace and hope and grace,” for them. “Please know this… That God LOVES you dearly. And I love you too,” she said to all mothers and potential mothers.

The 66-year-old Walsh was married to Norman Miller, their marriage ended in divorce in 1992 after 11 years. She is currently married to Barry and they have a son, Christian Walsh, the very one she refused to terminate as a fetus.
