The purpose of the series is to answer the questions; What does it mean to be spiritual? What does it mean not to be spiritual? Is it what we do, or what we say, or how we act?
The text for this sermon is taken from the book of 1 Cor. 3:1-7 where we see the apostle Paul describes the Christians as carnal. Why do we still act carnal when we are not ordinary? The problem is not that we are not spiritual but that we are dead spiritually. What we should know is that Christ died so that we will live. In essence, our spiritual life has been made alive by God.
When our spirit man is alive, we are able to see God and not just what we hear about him. When we are spiritual, we realize that we are yet to scratch the surface of who God is. Job 42:1-13.
How do you know you are spiritual? It the propensity to respond in a spirit-like manner to every encounter in life. It is the ability to respond to our spirit above the flesh. The spirit-led life is indeed an exciting life.
