Steve Dixon Sermons Uncomplicated Faith

Steve describes the mindsets that cause us to complicate our faith, as well as steps we can take to have simple, straightforward faith again. The human nature is very good at complicating very simple things. Pastor Steve talks to about some of the complications human beings put in the realms of faith as compared to the straight forward faith as shown by Jesus in the bible.

He tells us that we have become expert at listening to bad news instead of having faith in Jesus. We need to train ourselves that whenever we hear bad news our first response should faith and not fear.
In the scripture, Jesus was full of faith as it concerned the illness of Lazarus. In the verse 7 of the text, when Jesus told his disciples that they were going to Judah he encountered several challenges to simple faith. The first one was fear. The disciples responded to his request with fear because they knew that he was not wanted in Judea. Another thing Pastor Steve pointed out is that Jesus was faced with a conditional faith from Martha. She told Jesus that he had come too late. one thing we should know is that God is never too late. He is always showing up when he needed to show up.
Pastor Steve admonishes us that we need to get back to th place of child like faith. Jesus faith was uncomplicated and that is the kind of faith we should have. The kind of faith that is fully trusting on God.
