You don’t even have to go to church to meet with God; if you decide that your car is the best place to talk to him, he can turn it into a tabernacle.God comes where he’s welcomed.
Have you welcomed Christ into your Christmas season? He won’t invade it; Jesus will let you go through this whole season where you celebrate the Savior stressed out if that’s what you want to do, but if you invite him in, the prince of peace will come in and make it easier for you.
Whatever we welcome is what we have to live with; we invite stress into our lives, and the stress we fight in January is the result of the money we spent in December; we invited it. Sometimes depression comes. Depression can be a chemical thing, but we invited it. We’re discouraged because we invited discouragement with our thoughts.
There are guests in our mind that we need to tell that they are not welcome, like fear, intimidation, and offense. We are welcoming the presence of God in our heart and in our life. In the Bible, Jesus was invited to a wedding, but there was no wine, so Mary knew who to go to for assistance.
Do you know who to go to when you are in a bad situation? We have to invite him and get him involved in our lives. God will come when he’s invited.
