Steven Furtick’s Elevation Church sets to end global bible poverty as they partner with Illumination 12 VC during Elevation night tours.
The founder and senior pastor of Elevation Church based in Charlotte, North Carolina, has taken to his Instagram to disclose the church’s partnership with Illumination 12 verse challenge, a movement geared towards eliminating world bible poverty by 2023.
“There are around 1 billion people around the world who do not have access to the Bible in their own language. During the Elevation Nights tour, we have been able to partner with @illuminations12vc. To work towards ending Bible poverty across the globe by 2033.” he wrote. “If you want to be a part of this movement, visit 12vc.com,” he added.
Illumination 12 Verse Challenge who also are sponsors of the ongoing Elevation night tour, a full worship experience had participated in one of the events. Steven Furtick in a Tuesday Instagram post, however, expressed gratitude over the Illumination 12 VC participation. “Special thanks to @illumination12vc for joining us on tour,” he stated.
Illumination 12 verse Challenge emerged from a project by the 10 leading bible translation agencies. The Agency has been working on the project named Illumination for over 7 years. Its goal however is to get the scripture translated in every language that currently doesn’t have it by the end of 2023.
The mission postulates that “Today, there are one billion people on the planet trapped in the darkness of Bible poverty. There are more than 3,700 language groups with little or no access to scripture. 2000 of those don’t have a single verse of scripture in the language they best understand.” it wrote. “Our generation gets to change that. The translators are in place. The strategy is in place. And now, you can take your place” It added.
