Terri Savelle Foy Faces Post-Surgery Complications, Seeks Support and Prayer
Bestselling author and speaker Terri Savelle Foy has taken to social media to share a personal challenge she’s facing following a skin cancer surgery and solicit support and prayer.
In an emotional post shared on Instagram yesterday, Terri revealed that nerve damage sustained during skin cancer surgery she had years ago has left her unable to move the left side of her face.
“I had surgery on my face where I had skin cancer years ago and unfortunately, my nerves were damaged during surgery.,” she explained. “I’ve been completely unable to move the left side of my face.”
Terri also expressed feeling frustrated and even afraid about the future, wondering how it would affect her capacity to connect with audiences and even her father, Jerry Savelle, a popular evangelist who died on April 15th.
“Lying in bed trying to rest and recover, my mind would race from how long is this going to take to even go out in public much less, stand on a stage and cheer people on,” she wrote.
Acknowledging his father’s demise and expressing the fear of permanent separation from him, she added: “To thinking of not being able to pick up the phone and just ask my dad to pray for me or ever see him again,” she added.
Despite the challenges, Terri emphasizes the power of praise as a weapon against negativity and a tool for healing. She urges others experiencing challenges to adopt praise as a weapon.
“Praise silences the enemy, praise welcomes the presence of God! Praise causes a shift in the atmosphere!” she wrote. Terri conclusively declared her expectation of “full restoration” and challenged her followers to “keep praising through to your breakthrough!”
