Terri Savelle Foy To Replace Late Jerry Savelle at Southwest Believers’ Convention

Terri Savelle Foy, the daughter of the late Jerry Savelle, a prominent American author and televangelist who died on April 15, 2024, at 76, has made a heartfelt plea for prayers as she prepares to fill a monumental void at the upcoming Southwest Believers’ Convention.

The Southwest Believers’ Convention is an annual religious gathering hosted by popular televangelist Kenneth Copeland, founder of Eagle Mountain International Church. The event gathers believers across the world, offering worship experiences, teaching, and fellowship for the entire family.

The convention, which has long been a highlight for the Savelle family, has taken on a mournful tone this year owing to the absence of Jerry Savelle, who has been a regular speaker at the event for 42 years.

In a heartfelt social media post, Terri expressed her deep emotions about the upcoming event, sharing that it is the first to take place without her father’s presence.

“I have grown up my whole life (since I was 12) attending Kenneth Copeland’s Southwest Believers’ Convention in Fort Worth, TX,” she wrote.

“My favorite part of this annual tradition was getting to hear my daddy preach. For 42 years, I’ve been on the front row cheering him on. This year is soooo different. It’s the first convention Kenneth Copeland has ever had without Jerry Savelle.”

The post also revealed an unexpected turn of events when Kenneth Copeland invited her to fill the void left by Savelle, asking her to speak on Monday morning. Overwhelmed by the responsibility, she has turned to her followers for support and prayers.

“I was already emotional about going and then Mr Copeland asked me to speak Monday morning … stepping in for my hero!!!! Please pray for me!”

The Southwest Believers’ Convention is scheduled for July 29 to August 3, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Admission is free. With the powerful lineup of dynamic speakers, participants can be sure of their spiritual transformation after the event.
