Pastor Toure Roberts and Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts celebrated their six years marriage anniversary on November 11 2020 and it is a love we really need to celebrate as well. The co-pastors of The Potters House At One LA x Denver who have changed many lives through their teachings and way of life are really a sight to behold.
Celebrating this, Pastor Sarah took to Instagram to gush over their love life as she wrote: “When we met it was winter but on the inside it felt like spring. We’d each done the work to finally become whole. I didn’t know then that my soul finally found the one I could love in every season.
Winter could not fade away before our first date was planted. We fell in love before the season could change and then we dared to stand as April brought its showers. That’s when I began the journey of learning to love you in a tough season.
A sudden sickness, a family to blend, a love learning to withstand the shaking. A joy that could not be denied. Spring watered the truth of our love and our roots only dug deeper.
Summer brought its heat but by then our love was already in the fire. Exposing our fear, sharing in grief, colliding our worlds, and still our love exploded. That’s when we knew we wanted to love in every season.
By fall we promised to dance to the rhythm of life together. Six years later and the song is constantly changing, our feet have grown tired, our heart has raced, but our love has never swooned. I have loved you in every season with a brand new reason.
Life has been tough, but our love has proven to be tougher. The winter may bring its chill. The spring may bring its showers. The summer will guarantee even more heat. The fall will strip us of leaves. Still our love will continue to discover the beauty in each transition.
