Today we bring you a message from Pastor Victoria Osteen titled “Let the S-O-N Shine on You.” We have to remove anything in our lives that will stop us from shining. We have something on the inside of us, and that is the seed of God, and when we allow his presence to shine on us, when we do all that we can to get more of God, we are not meant to struggle in darkness, and we are not meant to not know the way to God.
God said that we are meant to shine like stars in the universe, but we have to allow God to shine in our lives; we have to remove anything that will stop the light from shining on us. So many of us are struggling to get to the light because we have allowed so many things to take over our lives, such as “being too busy” or “maybe you have some friends who are covering your light” because they don’t have the same value as you, they don’t understand the importance of being in God’s house, prayer, and worship, but you keep going back to those friends because they have been our friends for a long time.We have to make a decision and remove anything that will stop the light of God from shining through us.
Unforgiveness and anger can stop our lives from shining, if we allow anger and bitterness to stay for too long, we cannot receive the sun and light of God to shine in our lives because we have allowed bitterness and anger in them. And when we don’t forgive, how do we expect God to forgive us?
We may be struggling today to get to the light, but we can make a decision about what it takes to get the sun shining on us. We sometimes allow discouragement to take over our lives, which causes the light of God to dim.
