Annie Wilson Calls for Prayer Following Attempt on Trump’s Life

Talented Annie Wilson recently took to social media to share her thoughts on the recent attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life. Known for focusing her platform on spreading the hope of Jesus through music, Wilson rarely speaks on political issues. However, she felt compelled to address this tragic event.

According to Annie, she was thrown into a state of shock when she heard of what had happened to Trump.

“…I was shocked, heartbroken, disturbed, and angry. I immediately felt hopeless thinking about what this world has come to. This is the first attempted assassination of a president in my generation; the last one was in the 80’s. What happened this weekend was despicable. It is pure evil. No president should ever be in that situation.”

Wilson emphasized the importance of prayer during such times, recalling her pastor’s words: “Politics are secondary to our relationship with God. No matter what your political beliefs are, as Christians we are called to pray in situations like this.” She urged her followers to pray for President Biden, Donald Trump, and the nation.

She added that it is not a suggestion or the ‘right’ thing to do, but rather it is expected by God that we would humble ourselves and pray.

Wilson also reminded her followers to see beyond political divisions and recognize Trump as a fellow human being, a father, husband, and child of God. “No one should ever be put in the situation he was in.”

She concluded by honoring Corey Comperatore, who died protecting his family during the attack. She also called for prayers for his family..

“He was an incredible example of a strong, courageous, and selfless man. Let’s pray the peace of Jesus would surround his family and bring them immeasurable comfort. Let’s pray for supernatural healing for all of those who were injured and who are still fighting to recover. May God forgive us and heal our land.”
