Brentwood Pastor Charged With Producing Child Pornography: A Brentwood pastor was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of minors after numerous videos that contained child pornography were found on his phone.
Jose Saez, Jr. a pastor at Iglesia Cristiana Alumbrando El Camino Church was arrested Thursday by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The FBI’s Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force conducted a search warrant at Saez’s residence in Brentwood following a receipt of an online tip alleging a person was engaging in sexual activity with minors.
After the search, 15 videos containing child porn were discovered on the cellphone of the 28-year-old Pastor who is married with three children, a release from the FBI’s New York Office said.
The videos were found in a saved conversation on Telegram, according to a criminal complaint cited by the New York Post.
According to reports, one of the videos features a 16-year-old boy engaging in sexual activity. Saez is reported to have admitted to investigators that he urged the boy to send the videos even though he knew the boy was a high school student.
Saez also admitted that he engaged in similar conduct with other minors, according to the FBI, telling investigators, “I’m sorry that I cannot stop,” News 12 reported.
Reacting to the investigation, James Smith, assistant director in charge of FBI New York, said in a statement: “The production of child pornography is one of the most horrendous crimes we deal with in our society. It is even more concerning when the crime is allegedly committed by a leader in a local house of worship. The FBI is committed to protecting our children and working with our law enforcement partners to identify and apprehend predators who carry out these appalling crimes.”Â
