Brief Biography of Franklin Graham
Franklin Graham, born William Franklin Graham III on July 14, 1952, is a prominent American Christian evangelist and missionary. He is the son of the renowned evangelist Billy Graham and Ruth Bell Graham.
Franklin’s journey in ministry began in 1974 when he committed his life to Christ during a trip to Jerusalem. He went on to become the president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) in 2001, continuing his father’s legacy of evangelism. Under his leadership, BGEA has expanded its outreach efforts globally, including through the use of modern media platforms.
In addition to his role at BGEA, Franklin Graham serves as the president and CEO of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization. Since taking on this role in 1979, he has guided the organization in providing physical and spiritual aid to people in crisis situations around the world, including disaster relief and medical assistance.
