Did You Know That Jesus Christ Went To Hell

Did you know that Jesus Christ went to Hell?

Did You Know That Jesus Christ Went To Hell? Many Christians don’t know that after our Savior died, he went to hell. It is not a secret that he gave his life for us in order to bring us back to God.

Christians that knew that Christ went to hell did not know the reason for it. How is it possible that the Son of God went to hell?

The Bible told us that Jesus is righteous and blameless, so what can cause him to go to hell? We have to be told in the Bible that hell is a place for sinners for their punishment.

Ephesians 4:8-10

It says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.” 9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions?)  (He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens in order to fill the whole universe.)

When Jesus Christ was on earth, he was known to be the one with no sin. He did everything in his power not to sin against his father (God).

Why Jesus Christ Wasn’t Liked By Many

Many people on earth didn’t like Jesus Christ because he called himself God and also claimed to be better than Moses. Our Lord made it clear that he’s not here to destroy the law of Moses but to fulfill it.

There were a few things that Moses said that Jesus Christ corrected laws like

  • Eye for an Eye
  • Hate your enemy.

Jesus Christ told us to learn to forgive those that have wronged us, and we should love everyone. As a child of God who is living under grace, it is wrong to hate your enemy.

When someone slaps us, let us turn the other cheek, and when they ask for our clothes, let us give them to them.

Matthew chapter 5:38-39 You have heard that it was said, “An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.” 39 But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

(Matthew 5:43–44)
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you.”.

The new law that Christ was giving to people was making them uncomfortable, but he wants us to make heaven. The truth will always make us uncomfortable, but that will set us free.

Why Did Jesus Christ Went To Hell?

Even though Jesus Christ was the son of God when he died, he went to hell. He didn’t go to hell because he was a sinner, but to free those who died in the Lord and to take the key of death from the Devil.

He didn’t go to hell to get trapped by the devil because he is the son of God. After his death, the name of Jesus Christ was made to be above every other name, and at the mention of his name every knee shall bow.

The death of our Lord brought so many good things into our lives in order to make life easy for us. The gifts that were given to us are

  • Grace
  • Salvation
  • Holy Spirit
  • Forgiveness
  • Mercy
  • The ability to ask anything in the name of Jesus Christ.

He Loves Us

Did You Know That Jesus Christ went To Hell pt3

Many people have believed the lie that God gave us his commandment because he wants to control us. The commandments were given to us to be guided.

Without any commandment, we won’t know the right things to do, and many of us will end up being slaves to sin. The plan of the enemy (devil) is to deceive us here on earth so that he can destroy us in hell.

God didn’t want a bunch of puppets that he would be controlling; that’s why he gave us the “power of free will.”

As children of God, let us  use our free will to choose the will of God for our lives. Our obedience to God matters so much to him, and he wants the best for us.

He was willing to die for us and go to hell to take the key from the Devil and set us free. He loves us so much that he is willing to do good things for us and cares so much about us.
