God's Commandment Is For Our Benefit

God’s commandment is for our benefit.

God’s Commandment Is For Our Benefit: Many Christians really think that God gave us his commandments to make our lives hard.

Our heavenly father loves us, and he wants to protect us from the forces of darkness. If there is no commandment, many of us must have fallen into the trap of the enemy.

The word of God is really amazing, and God has great things planned for us already if we obey him.

Deut 30:9 says, “Then the LORD your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your hands and in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock, and the crops of your land.

The LORD will again delight in you and make you prosperous, just as he delighted in your ancestors.”

Is it okay for us to say that “we want to prosper” when we are not obeying God? The Lord wants us to serve him in truth and in spirit.

Our heavenly father is not holding us back or preventing us from experiencing wealth. We are the people holding ourselves back by not serving God faithfully.

There are many things that we do in life that we might not view as big things, but God does. Living in doubt and not believing in him can make him unhappy.

Obedience is important.

If we are to examine the commandments of the Lord, we’ll notice that they are for our benefit. The Lord wants us to love him faithfully and love those around us.

God instructs us, not for His advantage but for ours, and He doesn’t just give us a ton of regulations to make life difficult.

When he tells us to live in love with one another, it is because he knows what hatred can lead to. The Lord has instructed us to be cheerful givers because he knows it will make our lives joyful and fulfilling.

We have to know that he is looking out for us, so it’s important for us to trust him. Many verses have told us about the benefits of obeying and serving the Lord with all our hearts.

Bible About Being Blessed by Obedience

  • 1 Kings 2:3: “And observe what the LORD your God requires: walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.”
  • Genesis 39:3 “Now his master saw that the LORD was with him and how the LORD caused all that he did to prosper in his hand.
  • Deuteronomy 29:9 “So keep the words of this covenant to do them, that you may prosper in all that you do.
  • Joshua 1:7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
  • Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, stand in the way of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

We are not like others.

We have to know that we are God’s representative. What separates us from others is our obedience to God.

There are many things about this that we are not allowed to do. God doesn’t hate us, and he’s not holding us back; he’s just protecting us.

If we allow hatred and jealousy to control us, that makes us like the world. If we allow money to control us, that means we are not faithful to God.

When the world is complaining, we are to have the peace of God. We have to know that our father is in control, and no matter what, everything will turn out in our favor.

We are not allowed to do drugs or live a wild life because that leads to destruction. A godly lifestyle is the best, and it leads to a better life.
