Hand of Hope Mobilizes Aid for Hurricane Debby Victims

Joyce Meyer Ministries global mission arm, Hand of Hope, has mobilized aid for hurricane Debby victims in the wake of the disaster that made landfall in Florida on Monday, bringing torrential rain and widespread flooding.

Hand of Hope has partnered with Mercy Chefs, a faith-based, non-profit disaster and humanitarian relief organization, to provide hot meals to communities.

The organization is also actively coordinating with other partners to identify additional areas where support is critical.

“Hand of Hope is partnering with mercy chefs, who have mobilized their kitchens and chefs to Florida to serve hot meals to those impacted by flooding from the storm,” an August 6 Instagram post read. “We are also talking to other partners along the East Coast to see where we can be of help.”

Attributing the success of their swift response to their partners and donors, the organization led by renowned speaker Joyce Meyer expressed gratitude. The organization, however, is appealing to the public to join them in prayer for the Hurricane Debby victims.

“A big thank you to all our generous partners and givers. You are the reason we can quickly bring assistance to those in need. Please join us in praying for each person, family, and community affected by this disaster.”

Some affected individuals have taken to the comment section to express gratitude to the organization for their rapid response.

“Thank you from Live Oak Florida! MercyChefs arrived today!! We are so Thankful!,” one user wrote. “We live in Tampa/Clearwater! Lots of flooding but thankfully it passed us. Thank you for being available to help so quickly. It’s a great day to be stuck inside. I just got my new book “Words to live by” It looks like a beautiful book. I can’t wait to read it and apply the scriptures to my life,” another added.
