Know When to Stop: In life we have to know when to say no, especially in relationships. Whether with family or a best friend, know when to stand up for yourself.
If people can easily influence you, just know that they can control you. Learn to make decisions for yourself and seek advice when it’s necessary.
Don’t get me wrong, you can be influenced by someone positively. Make sure that God is the one directing your path.
God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us through life and the making of decisions.
When something doesn’t feel right, pray to God to speak to you. Our heavenly father knows better, and he wants the best for us.
There are people that come into our lives to limit our ability to achieve our goals and dreams.
They can come as a friend or family member so that they can convince you that your dream is impossible.
Know what you are comfortable with and what you’re not. We are not encouraging you to be a loner, but it’s better to be alone than to be limited by people around you.
Be with the right people.
We are created by God to interact with people around us, but sometimes it can be hard for introverts.
Make sure that you are aware of the people you are bringing into your life because they can uplift you or bring you down.
As a child of God, it is not good to have friends who don’t have the same goal as you. Being friends with people who are only interested in alcohol and drugs is not good because they can influence you.
Bad company corrupts good manners, so be careful of the people you call your friends. We are not telling you to judge or hate them, but stay away if you want to reach your dreams.
God is the perfect judge, and we are not perfect, so let us leave judgment to God. We can actually pray for our friends or family members who haven’t given their lives to God.
Everyone is not going to be perfect, so let us have sympathy. As Christians, it is not our job to change everyone, but we can tell them about Jesus Christ.
Let them accept Jesus Christ so that the spirit of God can fill their hearts and transform them. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can change our lives if we allow him.
Learn how to say no.
In life, we have to understand that saying no is really important because it shows how much we value ourselves.
If we are not careful and keep saying yes to everyone’s demands, that will destroy us. People pleasing is really bad because that will make us not think for ourselves.
Joseph in the Bible was able to say no to Pharaoh’s wife because he wasn’t a people-pleaser.
Not everyone that comes into our lives deserves to be our friend. As children of God, we are to love everyone, but we are not to be influenced negatively.
Our goal is to make it to heaven, so we must be careful about what we do and say. We are being watched by people, so let’s do our best to behave right because we are representing God.
As representatives of God, our behaviors should be brought to our creator all the time. Our heavenly father knows that we are not perfect but loves us still.
Our duty is to surrender our lives to Jesus Christ so that the Holy Spirit can transform our lives. Depending on our own power can lead us to frustration, but the spirit of God is more powerful.
Our heavenly father didn’t create us to depend on our own strength because it is limited. Proverbs 3:5–6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
and lean not on your own understanding;
“In all your ways, submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.”
