Levi Lusko Remembers Late Daughter on Her 17th Birthday
Fresh Life Church pastor Levi Lusko has shared a heartfelt tribute to his late daughter, Lenya, on what would have been her 17th birthday.
Lenya died at the age of 5 on Decemeber 12 after suffering an asthma attack, a loss the couple acknowledged that, if not for the grace of God, would have broken them.
In his Instagram post, the pastor expressed his deep sorrow and longing for Lenya who he last saw in person when she was in kindergarten. He painted a vivid picture of what Lenya’s life might have been like today, imagining her as a high school junior with dreams of the future.
“This year, I would be helping you buy a car. With Alivia at college, you would be the oldest child in the house, and I’m sure you would be rising to fill that role with your own style and flair,” Lusko shared. “I imagine you texting and FaceTiming your big sis constantly—about your problems, what to do with the many, many boys interested in you, or just to say nothing at all.”
“I’m sure you would have Daisy and Clover under your wings, giving them advice and whisking Lennox away to Dairy Queen for ice cream spontaneously. It would be your junior year of high school.”
The pastor also shared a poignant memory of the last gift he bought for Lenya, a promise ring that he had planned to give her before she passed away. The ring, he said, serves as a constant reminder of their love and the promise of being reunited one day.
Lusko further expressed his enduring love for Lenya, saying that she would always be his little girl, even after death.
“Until the day I die, when people see your sisters and brother and ask me how many kids I have, I will always say five. Because sweet Lenya, you will always be my little girl,” he shared.
The pastor’s tribute has touched the hearts of many, who have shared their condolences and offered support.
The couple, now married for 20 years are parents to three other daughters, Alivia, Daisy, and Clover, and a son Lennox. Their eldest daughter Alivia recently enrolled in Highlands College, a private college highly recognized for its commitment to nurturing future Christian leaders.
