Samaritan’s Purse Responds to Disasters in Minnesota and the Caribbean

In the face of unprecedented challenges, Samaritan’s Purse is once again stepping up to provide help. They are providing critical aid and support to communities in crisis particularly in America and the Carribbean.

The organization was founded in 1970 by Bob Pierce and currently led by Franklin Graham. They operate with the aim to help those affected by crises such as natural disasters, war, disease, and poverty.

Minnesota has been overwhelmed by severe flooding in the past week. This has caused a widespread destruction and leaving behind a trail of debris. In response, Samaritan’s Purse has mobilized its Disaster Response Unit to assist the hard-hit areas. Their focus is on Le Sueur County.

Emergency Response to Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean

Simultaneously, Samaritan’s Purse is responding to the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean. This morning, a second airlift was dispatched, carrying an Emergency Field Hospital and 29 additional Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART) members. The team provide medical care and support to those affected by the hurricane in the Carribbean.

Call to Prayer and Support

As these efforts unfold, Samaritan’s Purse is calling on the community to join in prayer for those affected by these disasters. Prayers are requested for the safety and effectiveness of the response teams, as well as for the healing and recovery of the impacted communities.
