The Importance of Studying the Bible: Reading the Bible is really important in our lives as children of God because that means that we want to know him.
Going to church and singing to the Lord is good, but let’s do our best to read the Bible. The Bible is not just a book that was written in the past; instead, it is the mind of God written on paper.
Our heavenly father values his words, and he’s not a man who will lie. Everything that is written in the Bible is so important to God, so let us value it too.
He has said that if his words don’t come to pass, let heaven and earth pass away. Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
The Lord has given us the instruction that no one should add or remove anything from the Bible. “You are to add nothing to the word that I command you, nor take anything away from it, so that you may observe the commandments of the Lord, your God.” (Deut. 4:2).
A lot of people have recently been editing God’s words with their mouths just to please themselves.
Spend time with God.
One of our major problems is that we are too busy for our heavenly father. Everyone has somewhere to be and something to do.
God is not asking us to sit down and pray for one year straight with no movement. 5–30 minutes with God means a lot to him, and that will help us grow spiritually.
If you are comfortable with praying for 3–4 minutes, that’s fine too. Two minutes of reading and studying the Bible every day can transform our lives.
Most people want God to bless them, but they are not making time for him. He told us in the Bible to seek him first, and everything else would be given to us.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
Our creator is aware of everything that we are lacking and the things we desire, but we must seek him first. We are nothing without our God, but still, we treat him as an option.
He is the King of Kings, so we must respect him and seek him with all our hearts. When we put God first in our lives, that will open doors of greatness in our lives.
We have no excuse.
No matter how busy we are, with the help of technology, we can read the Bible. There is a Bible app that can read out Bible verses; all we have to do is listen.
Whether you are driving to work or cleaning the house, turn on your audio bible. Listening to the words of God can help us know what pleases him.
Also, listening to the teachings of real men of God is good because we gain knowledge. Our heavenly father said that we, his children, perish because of a “lack of knowledge.”
Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge.“ Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I will also ignore your children.
In order for us to overcome this earth, we must gain knowledge from our father’s words. With everything that is going on in the world, if we are not careful, the devil will deceive us.
A lot of us are being deceived by the enemy because we don’t spend time with God. The word of God has answers for everything we need here on earth.
