Waiting on the Lord

Waiting on the Lord

Waiting on the Lord: As Christians, we are familiar with the topic of waiting on God. Waiting on God is not really easy, and it leads us to doubt him.

Everyone in the Bible who worked and served the Lord had to wait on him. God’s timing is different from ours, and his timing is always the best.

When we are in the waiting season, that’s when the enemy comes to tempt us. There will be a lot of trials and tribulations in this world, but we must be strong.

No matter what we are going through in life, God is aware of it, and we must trust him. Every promise that the Lord has made to us, he will keep because he is a covenant-keeping God.

Hold on to him, and at the right time, the Lord will answer your prayers. We have to make sure that we are praying according to the will of God and not for selfish purposes.

Some challenges are allowed by God in our lives so that we can grow and become better.

Are you waiting on God for:

  • Right partner
  • Dream job
  • Promotion at work
  • Right ideas
  • Favor
  • Financial freedom
  • Your own child
  • Your dream house
  • Cars
  • New business, and so on.

We have to know that our heavenly father wants the best for us, and our faith is important.

Faith is important.

Waiting on the Lord pt2

Every Christian knows that our faith in God is really important, so let’s make it stronger. The devil uses fear to destroy great things in our lives, while God uses faith to restore our lives.

When we live in fear, that means that we don’t trust God to take care of us. If you feel like your faith in God is shaking, renew yourself in his word.

The thought he has for us is of good and not of evil, so that we can have a beautiful end. Read the promises of God in your life every day, and your faith in him will grow.

The devil is working hard to make sure that we lose our faith in God so that he can destroy us. Why do you think that we Christians are the most mocked on the internet?

It’s because the enemy knows that if we are mocked, that will affect our faith and make us weak. As children of God, we must know that God will never leave us or forsake us.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Good gift takes time.

Waiting on the Lord pt3

David was chosen as king at an early age, but he had to wait. David could have murdered Saul, but he chose to wait. After 15 years, David became king. Second Samuel 5:4-5.

For every good gift, it takes time for it to come to pass. No matter how long the promises in your life take, God will fulfill them.

He will never disappoint us if we put our trust in him, so at the right time, he will fulfill his promise. Sarah was childless until she was 90 years old. God promised Abraham that she would be “a mother of nations” (Genesis 17:16) and that she would conceive and bear a son, but Sarah did not believe. Isaac, born to Sarah and Abraham in their old age, was the fulfillment of God’s promise to them.

It seems like a long stretch to reach Genesis 21 with the birth of Isaac. Abraham and Sarah’s 14-year wait for their promised son probably felt like an eternity.

Remember that God has not forgotten about you because he loves you.
