Remaining humble is important because it affects how you view the world and yourself, as well as helping you become more compassionate in your interactions with others.
What is being humble? is the ability to view yourself as a unique person with both strengths and weaknesses,while being void of arrogance and low self-esteem.
Being humble means realizing our own weakness and powerlessness to change the course of our lives. It is to turn to God in repentance and faith for direction.
- God is against pride. God does not want to see pride in his children. God wants us to be loving and caring toward one another. We are doomed if God is against us. Who can be against us if God is for us? What chance do we have, though, if God is against us?
- God is gracious to the humble. When we are humble, the blessings of the Lord will be upon us.When one is humble, more grace comes their way. Humbleness allows more of God’s grace into your life, but pride blocks the path to spiritual growth. God grants gentleness, peace, and patience to the humble. Humbleness is the soil on which the fruit of the Spirit develops. To progress spiritually, one must be humble.
- Better Relationships: When we are humble, that allows us to have better relationships with people around us. God wants us to live in peace with one another.
- Personal Development: When we are humble, that allows us to know that we are not perfect. Knowing that we are not perfect allows us to develop and grow.
- Spiritual Growth: Being humble lets us know that we have to depend on God. Depending on God makes us grow and be better.
