7 Wonders of Mercy By Shepherd Bushiri

God’s mercy is a constant refrain. It’s not a pardon earned, but a gift freely given, a hand outstretched to lift us from the depths of despair.

It’s in the comfort we find in times of sorrow, the strength we receive in moments of weakness, the hope that rekindles when all seems lost.

While the unfathomable depth of God’s mercy might defy complete understanding, Enlightened Christian Gathering Church founder Shepherd Bushiri has taken to Instagram to share 7 insights on the wonders of mercy

Drawing his references from the Bible Bushiri teaches that:

1. Mercy Triumphs over Judgment: As James 2:13-14 reminds us, “Mercy triumphs over judgment.” Bushiri highlights that our acts of compassion pave the way for forgiveness, reminding us that judgment without mercy leaves us vulnerable.

2. Mercy cuts off enemies and humiliates adversaries ( Psalm 143:12): Drawing from Psalm 143:12, Bushiri teaches that extending mercy can disarm even the most formidable foes. When we choose kindness over retaliation, we humble our adversaries and pave the way for reconciliation.

3. Mercy Brings Divine Settlement (1 Peter 5:10) assures us that “God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

4. Mercy Covers your errors: Even amidst past mistakes, mercy serves as a balm, covering our imperfections in the eyes of others. As Bushiri points out, when we practice compassion, others are less likely to dwell on our past transgressions.

“People may remember the bad things you have done, but mercy will cover all your mistakes,” he stated. “Even if you are too broken, when you have mercy people cannot even see your brokenness -mercy covers all.”

5. Mercy Brings supernatural favor:  Bushiri cites the example of David, who rose from humble beginnings to kingly favor. He emphasizes that when we embrace mercy, God’s grace can elevate us beyond our wildest dreams.

6. Mercy makes everything Good to follow: Psalm 23:6 promises, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Bushiri teaches that choosing mercy attracts positivity and abundance, enriching our lives in countless ways.

7. Mercy Brings miracles that you were just hearing of: Habakkuk 3:2 declares, “LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” Bushiri concludes by reminding us that when we open ourselves to mercy, we pave the way for divine miracles, transforming not only our lives but the world around us.
