It was a double celebration as Pastor Craig Groeschel not only celebrated his 56th birthday but also their 33rd engagement anniversary.
Groeschel took to social media to celebrate his anniversary with his wife Amy, and the story behind it is nothing short of heartwarming.
“33 years ago today, @amygroeschel gave me the best birthday gift when she said YES to being #mybride!” Groeschel wrote.
The senior pastor went on to narrate how Amy had thought she was simply going to make an announcement alongside him at church only to get proposed to instead.
