Bishop T.D. Jakes and his Wife, Serita Celebrate their 42nd Wedding Anniversary
The Potters House church founder and leader, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and his wife, Serita Jakes, recently celebrated their 42 years of marriage.
Commemorating the remarkable journey on social media yesterday, the couple penned a heartfelt tribute, expressing their love and appreciation for each other. With Serita taking the lead, She called Bishop Jakes her “life partner” and a constant source of joy and support. She also highlighted the unwavering strength they find in each other.
“Standing by your side throughout all these years has been one of my greatest joys,” she wrote. And when life gets shaky, I can lean on you to help me get re-centered. Knowing you always have my back just as much as I have yours gives me deep serenity.”
Serita further expressed gratitude for the “beautiful life and family” they have. She concludes by expressing enthusiasm for the future and declaring her unending love for her husband.
On the other hand, Bishop Jakes praised Serita as a “powerful force for God” and the “epitome of what a partner should be.” He acknowledged her unwavering support, even during challenging times, adding, “She’s been my safe place and my strength through 42 years of marriage.”
