Bobbie Houston Celebrates Granddaughter, Willow’s Birthday
Hillsong Church co-founder Bobbie Houston, who is now actively leading the newly launched Jesus Followers TV with her husband, Brian Houston, has taken to social media to celebrate the birthday of her granddaughter Willow Mae Toganivalu.
Willow, now 14, is the first child of Bobbie’s daughter Laura, and her husband, Peter Toganivalu. Her birthday follows the demise of her paternal grandmother, Vera Florence Toganivalu, who passed away on August 5.
Taking to social media, Bobbie Houston celebrated Willow’s birthday with a heartfelt message while also paying tribute to her recently deceased grandmother.
In the post accompanied by a photo of Willow and the late Vera Toganivalu, Bobbie described her granddaughter as “beautiful inside and out, intuitive, gracious, smart, and talented.”
She also noted that Willow possesses ” a big, soft. beautiful, and gentle heart like her dear grandmother,” Vera.
Revealing that Toganivalu “graduated to heaven only this past week,” she went on to express her belief that both Vera and her husband Ratu were immensely proud of Willow, as much as she and her husband Brian are.
Boobie further expressed confidence in Willow’s future, stating that she is “going to give so many hope and courage in the days and years ahead.”
The 67-year-old conclusively blessed her granddaughter with Psalm 16, revealing that it had been a source of strength for her since childhood.
The post has garnered significant attention online, with many offering well wishes to Willow Mae.
Willow’s parents, Peter and Laura Toganivalu, who launched Parable Church in 2023, following their resignation from their position as Hillsong youth pastors, have also taken to social media to celebrate their daughter.
In a short heartfelt post accompanied by a photo of Willow, her siblings, and her father, the couple wrote, “Happy 14th to our willow to know her is to adore her.”
