Brian Houston Sermons When Faith Is Now

The lesson we glean from pastor Brian’s message today is that Christianity is a serious business and not a video game. Unlike video games, the battles, the challenges we are faced with or will be faced with are very real. We may want a virtual reality kind of life but that is where futuristic faith comes in.
In the current situation that we find ourselves in, what we need is Faith for the now. In a time of desperation, we need the miracle immediately and that is what the bible is telling us in Hebrews 10:38 it says, “Now the just shall live by faith.” Hebrews 11 verse 1. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen.” So when is faith the substance and the evidence? Now.
According to pastor Brian, Yesterday’s faith and tomorrow’s faith, they’re valuable but right now they’re not necessarily going to cut it. You need faith right now because why? You need the miracle, you need the answer right now. The verse 33 of the text speaks of those who subdued the kingdoms through faith. The only way you can subdue a kingdom is when this kingdom is coming at you right now.
It says in Second Corinthians chapter 5 that we walk by faith and not by sight. There is a lot of issues out there that we need faith in the now, which is faith in its purest form to solve. He added that We can thank God for yesterday and believe God for tomorrow, but that is valuable only when we apply it to the faith that’s needed now.
