Fresh Life Church Pastor Levi Lusko is grateful as his 70-year-old father Chip Lusko successfully completed pancreatic cancer surgery.

Lusko was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer while being hospitalized in easter. He has since then undergone a series of chemotherapy according to updates from Levi. After the medical team discovered that the tumor had not spread, Chip was cleared for surgery which commenced by 7. 30 a.m. on Friday.

“Calling on my praying friends, my dad is undergoing surgery starting at 7:30 a.m. for pancreatic cancer. It will be a marathon procedure lasting all day and we are praying for the entire surgical team, anesthesiologist, strength for his body, and that there will be no infection as he heals. I am so grateful he was a candidate for this procedure and for God’s providence this far. Thank you!” Levi announced in a Friday Instagram post.

In a subsequent Saturday Instagram post, Levi noted that the over 7 hours of surgery went successful and his father is in the recovery process. He also expressed immense gratitude to those who have been praying for his father.

“ALL DONE! (In Jesus’ name) Thank you so much for ALL of you who have been praying for my dad! The surgery was completed successfully. The tumor was removed and my dad made it through the whole 7+ hours of surgery and is recovering,” Levi stated adding that his father “looks good and feels “okay.”

“Praying now the healing process is without infection. Pain can be managed and that in Jesus’ name cancer is in the past tense. So thankful for the entire medical team giving themselves to his care and for every single person who has been bringing him before our Father in heaven,” he added.
