All around us gratitude is everywhere. We have gratitude journals, prayers, artworks for our homes etc. In fact, we are reminded all year long to be grateful.

While we understand that gratitude is important, Chrystal encouraged us to think about why gratitude is good for you.  For many people, gratitude is not a natural response. Whenever we do not get what we want, our first response is often frustration, envy, anger, or disappointment.

The practice of gratitude is a practice that whether or not your it is your nature to express thankfulness, positivity and appreciation; it is your choice to practice gratitude.

Chrystal went ahead to point out things which gratitude can do for us.

“What if gratitude opens a door which you never knew existed ? What if Gratitude carries out a greater capacity for you to receive ?”

She tells us that we need to pay more attention to whether you are practicing more grievance than you practice gratitude. There is definitely something for you in gratitude.

When you are negative and not walking in gratitude, you are subtracting something from your life.  The opposite of gratitude, which is negativity and complaining is not good for you.  She advised that it is to our best interest and outcome that we practice gratitude.

There are a lot of physical benefits of gratitude, they include;

  1. Opens a door to new relationships
