Pastor Dollar teaches us in this message why we should not be afraid of pressure because we are under grace, not law. We should understand and know that God allows us to go through trials in order to make us stronger. We go through trials so that we don’t depend on ourselves and forget God. We have to stop depending on ourselves because we cannot do anything in our own strength, but we must completely depend on God in our lives.
Going through trials does not mean that God does not love us, but he’s trying to remove all the self-dependence in our lives. There are some things that will happen in your life for which you won’t have the answer; that’s why you have to depend on God. Faith takes hold of what Jesus has made available; faith takes possession of what grace has made available. We should be saying to the devil, “Don’t let me find this in a word. Once you find it in a word, you’re in trouble now because now I’m taking hold of it with my faith. We are to have an intimate, personal daily relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ where we talk to him and he speaks back to us. If you don’t know Jesus, you’re missing the whole point where Christianity is concerned. Christianity is about a relationship between you and your heavenly father. Christianity is not about a bunch of rules and regulations; Christianity is about a personal relationship with God.
