Deported Evangelist Warns Christians About Coming Persecution

Deported Evangelist Warns Christians About Coming Persecution: A deported Danish Evangelist and preacher, Torben Sondergaard has warned Christians about how close the persecution of Christians and the church is.

Torben Søndergaard was early this year deported from the United States after he fled his home country in 2019. The Evangelist and his family fled Denmark in 2019 with hopes of finding r=refuge in the United States. Unfortunately, They never expected the treatment they would receive from the U.S. government.

In an interview with CBN News, Søndergaard talked about his journey to jail and issued a warning to Christians all over on the persecution that is coming for them just as the bible prophesied. He talked about how he faced a level of hostility and intimidation from ICE officers that was different from the treatment of other detainees.

“”We think (persecution) is for the few extreme (Christians) out there. And we think we are safe if we just don’t do like them. And maybe it’s just a few now, but it’s a few now and then in a short time it will be the many. And in the future, it will be everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord.”

Having spent 412 days in jail, Torben says despite the harsh treatment he experienced, his time in the prison transformed and humbled him. He said he was shocked especially when Christian leaders he said he had been inwardly critical of were some of those who spoke out on his behalf.

However, after Torben was deported to Denmark, he left and has reunited with his family in another undisclosed nation.
