Don’t Complain, Give Thanks

Don't complain; give thanks

Don’t complain, give thanks.

Don’t complain; give thanks: Thanksgiving is not strange to many Christians in the world. We are all taught to show appreciation when we are treated right as kids.

Giving thanks is a way to show that we are grateful at the moment. Most of us are only grateful when we are in beautiful situations.

Life is not always filled with beautiful moments; it also consists of bad times too. None of us can escape or cheat life so that we won’t have a challenging moment.

Tough moments are allowed in our lives by God for us to grow in faith. We are not to face tough situations alone because God is always with us and he loves us.

Being thankful in challenging situations doesn’t make sense to many of us. Imagine being grateful that you lost your dream job. being thankful that you lost a loved one? and so on.

Our heavenly father has instructed us to give thanks always, no matter what we are facing in life.

What is Thanksgiving?

The act of thanking; heartfelt appreciation of rewards or favors, particularly to God.

1 Thessalonians 5:16–18. Rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Complaining doesn’t help.

Don't complain; give thanks

Complaining about everything bad that happens in our lives seems easy, but it won’t help us. Ask yourself how many times complaining about a situation has helped.

Instead of complaining, we can pray to God with all our hearts. Our heavenly father is aware of everything that we are facing here on earth.

He has never left us, and he will never do it because he cares about us. There will be moments when we won’t know what to do or who to run to, but remember, you can run to your father.

Complaining can feel like reliving something, but it won’t solve the problem. Complaining is developed by fear and doubt. When you trust God, you won’t complain about anything.

1 Peter 5:7: Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

God is powerful enough to change any of our life situations, but we must have complete faith in him. Don’t let the devil plant a seed of doubt in your life.

If you don’t know what to do about your situation, pray and sing to the Lord. Isaiah 41:10: So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

In Matthew 6:27, Jesus asked us an important question: “Can any one of you, by worrying, add a single hour to your life?

Give everything to God, and he will give you peace of mind and take care of you.

Complaining vs. Giving Thanks

Don't complain; give thanks pt3

Complaining about life challenges won’t bring any changes, but giving thanks will transform your life. We are told in the Bible to give thanks in all situations, both bad and good.

Our heavenly father knows that giving thanks to him can transform our lives. That’s why the enemy is working hard to make us complain all the time when things don’t work out.

If we want to live our lives differently, we must behave differently. When the rest of the world is complaining, we Christians will be giving thanks to God because we know that he’s powerful.
