Pastor Dharius teaches us in this message about taking ownership. As Christians, we have to understand the life that God has planned for us. We need to increase our understanding of kingdom principles. We have to live the life God has designed for us—not a life of sinking but a life of thriving. You’ve been born to thrive; you’ve been created to thrive, and you’re capable of thriving. You just need the keys to unlock the thriving life. There is something that God is building in us so that God can build something through us. You have not been placed on this planet randomly; there is some unique contribution that you’re supposed to make, and you realize and recognize that you’re in a season where it is time to move beyond just announcement.
You’re in a season where you’re moving from announcement to fulfillment, where you’re moving from articulating it to action. The book of Nehemiah, who’s one of the best builders in the Bible, and we’re learning principles from Nehemiah’s to apply to our lives, and Nehemiah is a powerful picture of these principles that we can apply in our lives. We have to take ownership of any area of our lives: our resources, our relationships, and the work that God has called us to do. We have to experience elevation in those areas. We have to take ownership of where we are right now in order to get where we want to be. You cannot improve what you do not own; you’ve got to own it to improve it.
