We bring to you today’s message from Pastor Jentezen Franklin, which is titled, “What is Your Ministry?”
Pastor Jentezen tells us that the Devil took Jesus high on the mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “You can have it all, including their glory,” the devil told Jesus. We must be careful when we are going up in life; it’s not that God has a problem with us excelling, being blessed, and doing amazing things with our lives. when you begin to give God credit for your blessings and achieve success in life.
Jesus knew what his ministry was, which is why he did not accept the glory that the Devil had offered him. The Devil offered Jesus glory and fortune, but Jesus did not want those things. Jesus has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor and brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to captives and sight to the blind. Jesus came to this earth for us, and he died so that we could have a close relationship with him.
Satan raises people up. Satan can give people fame and fortune. As Christians, we have to be careful and always remember to give God glory for every victory and blessing in our lives. God wants us to dream big and achieve them, but we have to depend on him for them to come to pass. In this life, only Jesus deserves all the glory because his glory can heal anyone.
Always ask yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Why do you sing? Why do you preach? Whatever our talents are, they were given to us by God, and we are using them for God’s glory, not ours.
Why would God give you success? Why would God give you a business? Why would God raise you up? Why would God give you a big dream? The Bible said Herod was in royal attire; he looked good, he dressed fine, and he could speak. The Bible said that with his oratory power, words, and persuasive speech, the people just marveled, and God didn’t have a problem with him using his gifts and his talent. The problem God had with him is that he did not give God the glory. In whatever we do or whatever our talents are, we should do it to the glory of God.
