Theme For Joel Osteen Devotional March 7 2021 – Money

Today’s Scripture

1 Timothy 6:10, NLT
For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Today’s Word

Sometimes religion can make people feel that it’s wrong to be blessed with resources. But the Scripture says that Job, a man of the highest integrity and who honored God, was blessed with great wealth and resources. David, who was called a man after God’s own heart, left an inheritance to build the temple in Jerusalem that some scholars say would be over a billion dollars today. Abraham, the father of our faith, was very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. God has no problem with you having money as long as the money doesn’t have you. Money is simply a tool. Money can help send your children to college, bless a person in need, and help you accomplish your dream. It’s the love of money that’s a problem. Money shouldn’t be your goal; fulfilling your destiny should be your goal. If you make wealth your goal and live to impress people and show off what you have, your life is going to be miserable.

Prayer for Today

Father, thank You that You are called Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord our Provider. Thank You that You delight in prospering me, and I can use my wealth as a tool for good. Help me to be wise with my finances and keep my focus on fulfilling my destiny. In Jesus Name, Amen.
