Joel Osteen : Stay Positive Toward Yourself

Joel Osteen: Stay Positive Toward Yourself:  Here is another message from Joel Osteen which is titled “Stay Positive Toward Yourself”.

In this message, Pastor Osteen tells us : you compliment your friends and your co-workers, when do you compliment yourself? You forgive your friends, forgive yourself too, it’s not selfish is called “loving yourself”

Staying positive toward yourself. The most important relationship is the “relationship you have with yourself”. Too many people don’t like who they are, they focus on their faults and weakness. They relieve their mistakes and failure. They wish they are different. Instead of accepting themselves as “masterpiece” “made in image of God”.

They are critical towards themselves. They wonder why they are not happy, why they don’t have good relationship, it’s because they don’t like themselves.  If you don’t get along with yourself, you can’t get along with other people.

Jesus said “love your neighbor as you love yourself” you can’t love others if you don’t love yourself first. The best thing You can do for yourself, your family, your friends is “be good to you” “be kind to you” “be merciful to you” ” be forgiving to you” ” be loving to you.

Instead of focusing on what’s wrong with you, start focusing on what’s right you. You may have weakness, you’ve made mistake, we all have forgive yourself.

Dealing on your negative will not help “you to do better”, beating yourself up for past mistake will not help you move forward. The better you feel about yourself the better you’ll do. The more you like yourself, the further you’ll go.

You can’t give away what you don’t have. If you’re in turmoil on the inside, mad at yourself, critical, judgemental, that’s what you have to give. If you are hard on yourself, you will be hard on others, if you don’t forgive yourself, you will not forgive others.

You have to accept yourself while you’re in the process of changing. God knew you would have weaknesses. He made you. You’re not a surprise to him (God), He knew there would be things you struggle with.

There will always be some area we need to improve in. He let us have weaknesses so that we can depend on him (God).

He’s changing you from glory to glory. Learn to enjoy the glory you’re in right now. We should not focus on our weaknesses and shortcoming.  We should know that we are forgiven, we are redeemed, we are masterpiece, we are made in the image of God. Life is too short to go through it being against yourself.
