In this episode, Pastor John works us through battling the unbelief of bitterness. Holding a grudge is deadly just as we know that unforgiveness is a sin. In Ephesians 4:32, we see the bible encouraging us to forgive one another.
However, we need to understand and acknowledge that you need the grace to forgive him or her because you cannot forgive on your own. Faith in future grace will give you the confidence to forgive or ask for forgiveness. Bitterness and impatience may seem like frightful enemies, but when we lay claim to Scripture’s promises, we can take seeming setbacks in faith that God himself is at work for our good.
Whenever you feel that the wrong done to you should be avenged, we should remember that vengeance belongs to God. Romans 12:19. The knowledge of this will make you a loving person and free from bitterness.
