Biography
South Texas’ Cuero was the birthplace of Jonathan “JP” Pokluda. Jonathan was raised on a modest farm because his parents were both farmers. About his family or his past, not much is known.
JP spent his entire youth attending several denominational churches before surrendering his life to Christ in his early twenties. Before becoming born-again, he spent nine years at a Catholic school. When Pokluda received the invitation to Watermark Church 20 years ago, he was in a Dallas nightclub. He was moved by clear Bible teaching and the sight of so many individuals following Jesus while feeling hungover.
He received discipleship at Watermark Church, joined the staff about five years later, and eventually rose to the position of teaching pastor there. Pokluda now has a desire to motivate young adults to follow Jesus Christ radically and release them to make a difference in the world.
He is now a well-known preacher, author, and influencer in America with a passion for leading others to Christ.
