Today,we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer titled Claiming What Is Rightfully Yours” God has promised us so many blessings and what he’s asked us to do is to love and obey him. Jesus said if you love me you will obey me.
We are not buying God’s love with our obedience, we’re not buying special favors with obedience, we love God first and the more we love God the more we are going to obey him. If we are having trouble with obeying God we should go and read about how much God loves us and think deeper in love with God that will make us to do what is right .
Instead of trying in the flesh to do things right just spend more time with God. Sometimes the best thing we can do for ourselves is get away from something. God want us to walk in the spirit and not in the flesh.
God saved us by his grace and gave us the Holy Spirit to help walk in obedience to him. We don’t even have to try to do it by ourselves, he gives us all the help that we need. We are not perfect in our performance but we can have a perfect heart toward God that’s what God is looking for. “The eyes of God goes to and fro across the earth looking for someone whose heart is perfect toward him in whom he might show himself strong”.
So a person with perfect heart just want to do everything that God wants us to do. That desire to please God causes us to study, causes us to pray and everything the word tells us to do. We don’t read the bible out of obligation and we don’t spend time with God out of obligation, we do good things because we love God. We are not perfect by our performance but we can have a perfect heart toward God, and the Holy Spirit through the word will help us be transformed into God’s image from glory to glory.
