Pastor Joyce teaches us in this message how we can live a life of freedom by confronting our fears. We have to know that God has not given us the spirit of fear. Fear is the devil’s tool to take control of our lives, and we have to be very careful about it. With power, love, a sound mind, and a spirit of discipline and self-control, God has given us the power to overcome situations in our lives and not fear them. We all have something that we fear, but that’s not how God wants us to live on this earth. God is always with us, and depending on him is the best way we can overcome fear. God’s given us a spirit of weakness, wimpiness, and timidity, but God has given us a spirit of power, which means that we can do whatever we need to do in life. Fear is bad because God never wants us to live in it. Some of us are dealing with some pretty big things, and the enemy is whispering in your ear that you can’t do it; it’s too much; you’re not going to make it; you can’t stand it. God will give you enabling power to help you do whatever it is that you need to do. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.
We really have no idea how powerful God is or how great he is, nor do we really have any conception of how much God loves us and how much he’s willing to do for us. We all make mistakes; we all do things that we shouldn’t do, but if you have a heart after God and are repentant, God forgives you right away. He removes your sins as far as they are from the west, and he remembers them no more.
