Today we bring you a message from Pastor Joyce Meyer which is titled ” He Rewards The Diligent (Pt.1)”. The message started with the scripture Hebrew 11: 6 ““It is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. . ”
What Pleases God? We always want to believe that he is pleased with us and we through all of our different works of the flesh trying to please God with the things we do. What God really wants is for us to believe in him.
From the scripture there are four things that God wants:
- He wants our faith
- To believe that he exists
- That he is everywhere we go
- that we are not without God.
God is always with us even in our loneliest moments. Often we ask why he doesn’t let us feel his presence. It is because if he did, we would begin to rely on our feelings instead of our faith.
Faith is very important. It is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Faith replaces seeing. Even when we see it, it is in the spiritual and not the physical.
Christianity is all about faith in Jesus. That he was born, died on the cross and resurrected. Matter of fact, our whole life is based on something that we have not seen.
Meyer talked about a lot of things we do not see and understand yet we believe them. Things like gravity electricity etc. However,. we want to understand everything when it comes to God. We are always asking for explanation. The secret to peace is not to ask too many question.
“God When?, God Why?” the simplest answer is in due time.
Due season is when God knows that you are ready, not when you think you are ready. God knows when you are ready and at the appointed time, it will come through for you. At that appointed time, he ill do something better than what you are believing.
Meyer talked about God being a rewarder. His payday will always come but we should not work or serve God for a payday. However, if you just love God and believe what the word says, and you stay diligent, there is a reward for you.
She pointed out that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. The first instruction from Hebrew 11:6 is that we are to diligently seek him. We need to seek God for who is and not what you want from him.
Furthermore, Meyer tell us that God loves to do things for us. However, he just doesn’t want us to seek him for stuff. He wants us to seek him for his PRESENCE not his PRESENTS.
Every Christian goes through the phase where we seek God for what we want him to do for us. We start wanting God to do stuff for us. However, the downside is that we are always going to be dissatisfied.
No material thing is ever going to satisfy you. No matter how far you climb the ladder of success. True satisfaction comes from seeking the presence of God. When you seek him and want him and not for what you want him to do.
