Here is a message from Joyce Meyer, which is titled, “I Will Not Fear (Part 2).”
Pastor Joyce tells us that we have to understand that we will always make mistakes, but we should not spend one more day feeling condemned. When you make a mistake, just pray to God and receive your forgiveness, then move on and behave better. The more we know that God loves us and see more of his goodness, the more motivated we will be to do the right thing and do it for the right reason. Jesus died so that we could have a relationship with him, not so that we could have religion.
Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew and approved of you as my chosen instrument, and before you were born, I separated and set you apart, consecrating you, and I appointed you as a prophet to the nation.”
God loves people who have courage. Don’t be timid and fearful; be bold in your prayers, not presumptuous.
There are a few common fears.
- I’m afraid I won’t get what I want. Most Christians pray, but they have a backup plan because they are afraid that things might not turn out right. They can get really good at manipulating circumstances and other people to make sure that they get the result they want. Just ask God what you want and trust him to give you what you need.
- Fear of Failure or Imperfection: For people who are afraid of imperfection, it is really hard for them to be happy, because you can’t be happy if you can’t be happy with yourself. You have to learn that you will always have some imperfection in your life. When you understand and become comfortable with being imperfect, you’re free from the fear of failure. You only become a failure when you stop trying. You learn from your mistakes and grow.
- Fear of not doing enough,God wants to set us free; we have to stop counting the number of good things we have done and just trust him. We don’t have to compare ourselves with anyone; it’s just about the relationship we have with God. The only thing we have to do is believe in Jesus Christ. We have to make the devil mad and enjoy our lives.
- Fear of Man: If God is on your side what can man do to you? They may not like you but you will survive that, talk about you in unkind way. We should not let people pleasing steal your destiny, if you are to give up everything to make someone happy then the person is not happy for you. People who love you want you to be fulfilled and follow your heart.
