Here is a message from Joyce Meyer, which is titled, “If It’s Broke, God Can Fix It.” The text for the message is from Deuteronomy 30:3-5. “God, your God, will restore everything you lost; He’ll have compassion on you. He’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered. No matter how far away you end up, God will get you out of there and bring you back to the land your ancestors once possessed. It will be you again. He will give you a good life and make you more numerous than your ancestors.”
Pastor Joyce teaches us in this message that hope is a positive expectation that something good is about to happen at any moment of your life. To restore something means to make it new again or even better than new again. We learn from every one of our mistakes, and that’s what gives us character. We have learned and grown spiritually through the hard things you have gone through in life.
The Bible defines restoration as “to receive back more than you lost, a final state better than your original condition. God blesses people for their faith by giving them more than they had before. When you’ve gone through something really difficult and somebody comes to you for help, there’s a whole new level of understanding and compassion from you. Sometimes, God could get you out of something faster, but he does not because he wants to equip you and qualify you to actually help people.
God will restore everything that you lost; he’ll come back no matter how far away you are. God will collect you and bring you back to his heart; he will restore everything in your life that is broken. Maybe you need restoration because you have a broken heart; someone has hurt and wounded you; you have a broken relationship; somebody has done something to you that you never expected. Never let what someone, no matter their number, did to you get you into an area where you distrust every person; it’s miserable to you and unfair to them. When you hang out with God, you get double the reward for your trouble.
