Joyce Meyer has given us a new message titled “My Story, Part 2,” where she teaches that God wants to help us be fulfilled and righteous.
Pastor Joyce continued with her teaching concerning her story to really inspire us to know that no matter what we have experienced in the past, it can determine our future. There are so many people in this world who are hurting, but God came to heal the brokenhearted. You can do anything that God tells you to do, and God will provide everything you need because what he orders, he pays for. Pastor Joyce shared with us her experience. “Don’t ever tell me you cannot overcome negativity because I could not think two positive thoughts in a row without my brain getting cramped. If I could explain to you how messed up I was, but I don’t even know how to tell you I didn’t know how to think right, I didn’t know how to act right, I didn’t know how to feel right. I misread everything. I had a root of rejection in my life, and that colored everything that happened. If you have that, I can tell you it’s affecting your relationships, and I’ll give you one example of how that works. Dave and I couldn’t seem to talk about anything, and I would always say we can never talk about anything, and he would get so mad, and why do you say we can never talk about anything? We can talk about everything, but he said you talk and you want me to listen, which was true, and God finally revealed to me, and I thank God for the revelations that he gives us, that what was happening to me was because of that root of rejection. If he disagreed with any opinion I had, I took it as him rejecting me, but he wasn’t rejecting me; he just didn’t agree with what I thought, and I didn’t know how to separate my opinion from who I was. Once I learned how to do that, just because somebody disagreed with me didn’t mean they were rejecting me. That made a huge difference, but I had to press through rejection, betrayal, and abandonment.
We have to check our lives to know what we are dealing with. Many of us have a root of rejection, which can really affect our lives and our relationships with others in our lives. We can only deal with that or anything else that needs to be fixed with the help of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
