We bring you the Part 3 of the teaching by Joyce Meyer titled “The Decision Is Yours (Part 3)”. The bible tells us that we’re to be doers of the word, is not hard to sit and listen to it. We’re not saved by our works but true faith. Anyone who has truly been saved is going to want to do good works, they’re going to want to be obedient to God.
James1vs22″but be doers of the word and not hearers only deceiving yourself ”
We have to really think today “how much of what you know are you actually doing? and how often do you give excuses for not doing what you know you should do?
Good intentions are not obedience and good intentions don’t bring any reward into our life it’s only obedience that does.
James 1 is full of instructions it starts out by talking about being patient when we’re going through all kinds of trials, when you don’t know what to do you should ask for wisdom.
James 1vs4 said”to know what is good to do and not do it is sin ” God actually deals a little differently with people who are ignorant they don’t know that what they’re doing is wrong then he (God) does people who know what they are doing is wrong and do it anyway. The right decisions brings reward and wrong decisions causes more pain and agony.
Knowing what to do and don’t do it, we are sinning.
Matthew 7vs21 says”no one says to me lord lord will enter the kingdom of heaven but only the one who does the will of my father who is in heaven”
The gap between knowledge and doing is what determines our measure of victory.
If you are being obedient the storms of life cannot defeat you. Obedient is a very important subject and it’s something that we need hear a lot of on really regular basis because we can hear the words, listen to teaching programs, listen to podcast, we can read our bible, but until we do what it says , we are not better than somebody who doesn’t believe it at all.
We have to obey the word of God .
