Jesus loves to break down wall and he used Philip to accomplish this with the Samaritans. During these times, the Samaritans were blacklisted but Jesus did not operate that way. He broke down these cultural walls.
When Philip preached Christ to them, they heeded to what he preached and believed him. This brought salvation and revival to them and men and women were baptized. The gospel breached the ancient bias for the first time.
Christ also sent Philip to another cross-cultural evangelism where he met the Ethiopian Eunuch. Philip did not hesitate to preach the gospel to him and he had him baptized. This is how the Church got her first non-Jewish convert.
These stories teach us about how God feels about the person on the other side of the wall. He tore down the wall and brought us together. In the world we live today, we pray that God will do the same and unite us despite all the differences.
