Nothing Can Separate Us From God’s Love

Nothing Can Separate Us From God’s Love: God’s love changes our view of what it means to love ourselves and others.

God loves us so much, and we have to know that nothing can take it away from us.

The enemy wants us to go through life feeling that God has forgotten us. We have to go around with so much joy in our hearts, knowing that God cares about us.

When we face life challenges, we have to know that God is right there with us. God will make a way of escape, and we have to trust him with all our hearts.

God loves us so much that he gave us his son to bring us back to him. When Jesus was leaving the earth, he gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us through life.

We are never alone in this life; God is always looking for us. We have to develop a close relationship with God with all our hearts.

What exactly is love?

A collection of emotions, behaviors, and beliefs related to intense feelings of affection, protectiveness, warmth, and respect for another person.

What is God’s love?

The love of God is unconditional.

According to the Bible, God loved us while we were still sinners; His love flows from His boundless compassion and mercy.

True love is self-sacrificing, merciful, compassionate, sensitive, kind, generous, and patient.

The Bible describes four separate types of love:

Eros: Two people’s romantic love.
Philia: Brotherly love (as found between best friends).
Storge: family affection and love (for example, your parents’ love for you).
Agape means “unconditional love.” God’s love for us is described by the Greek word agape.

In the New Testament, agape refers to both God’s fatherly love for mankind and humans’ reciprocal love for God.

The highest type of love in Scripture is transcendent agape love, which is contrasted with eros, or sensual love, and philia, or brotherly love.

The Bible tells us in Romans 8:38–39 that nothing can separate us from God’s love for us.

Roman 8:38–39 [38] For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
[39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
